WITCH WOMAN
The witches are out, the witches are out,
should we hide, should we hide?
Are you one of them, are you one of them,
hide your wives,
hide your children
take care with your soul,
the moon is full.
The time is ripe to destroy the archaic
image of the black robed witch flying across the moon,
myths, myths, myths,
The dispeller of myths has arrived.
I am a witch woman, proud to be who I am,
my own spiritual teacher and healer, a wiccan woman.
In tune with the wisdom of the earth and the sky,
I come in all shapes, colors, and ages,
to heal, protect, renew
and celebrate the passages in our lives
maiden, mother, crone,
Artemis, Demeter, Hecate,
I have been here since the beginning of time,
able to be with and without form
traveling through space and time
talking on other shapes, owl of the night,
the proud lioness, the fierce bear.
Within my womb is the power of the moon,
Ever-changing,ever-renewing.
Hecate is my queen,
through her I am given visions.
The serpents of Hecate are my ally,
with the powers of the underworld,
the power of the crone, the magic of the dark of the moon,
the blood red of the mother goddess,
I am in control of my life
harming none
my power is from within.
I am my destiny,
holding not the hand of the past,
I am fully in the present,
the driver of my future
The depths of my heart and soul go out
to the healing of our mother earth
the witches are out, the witches are out.
The Witches are out to stay.
